Launched in 2002, the exhibition is organized by the efforts of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai, Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd., China Local Railway Association, and co-organized by the Shanghai Transportation Trade Association. Occupying an expansive area of 27,000 square meters, the exhibition will feature 7 key thematic sections, host over 10 concurrent high-level forums, and see participation from more than 250 renowned companies.

Rail+Metro China 2024 takes “internationalization and professional cooperation and exchange platform” as its exhibition concept. Since its founding in 2002, it has experienced important historical stages in the development of China’s railway and urban rail transit, and has become an authoritative platform for trade procurement, information technology exchange and cooperation, and enterprise brand expansion in the rail transit industry both in China and the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition to tapping into the potential of the domestic market, Rail+Metro China 2024 will further focus on internationalization in 2024, achieving a “dual circulation” development pattern in the field of rail transit. The organizing committee will invite transportation authorities from “Belt and Road” countries and the heads of over 20 overseas owner units from cities such as London and Tokyo to come to Shanghai, release important railway and urban rail cooperation projects, and hold international exchange meetings for domestic and foreign owner units to share experiences and concepts in construction and operation, thereby providing a platform for domestic and foreign rail transit enterprises to engage in exchange and cooperation.
